Start Working On Cold Storage Facilities: PM Modi to Chief Ministers of States

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with the Chief Minister of seven worst coronavirus-hit states amid the rise in the number of cases. The PM said that people started taking the virus lightly looking at the high recovery rate hence the cases spiked in some states.

He asked the CMs to alert the people and curb the transmission and bring the positivity rate under 5%. Talking about the vaccine, the PM said that safety is as important as speed for India. Hence, only a vaccine that will be safe on all scientific standards will be given to its citizen. He has asked the states to start working on cold storage facilities for vaccines.
