Plant 10 Saplings To Get A Gun Licence In Patiala From Now On!

Patiala Division Commissioner Chander Gaind has come up with a new condition for those who aim to acquire an arms licence. Under its ‘Trees-For-Gun’ initiative, people now require to plant at least 10 saplings to get a gun licence. Those who want to renew their license must plant five saplings.

The initiative has been taken to promote aforestation among the residents and encourage them to participate in the fight against deforestation.

Applicants are, however, unhappy with the decision as they believe the process of acquiring an arms licence is already very long and the new addition will only make it more cumbersome.
