Over 3 lakh farmers across India, especially Punjab and Haryana have gathered around Delhi to protest against the Farm Bills passed by the government in September. The protesting farmers have been bombarded with water cannons, tear gas shells, lathis etc by the police in a bid to disperse them.
But the farmers have been winning hearts constantly by helping the cops with food and water during the protest. Yesterday, the nation celebrated the 551st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first of the ten Sikh gurus. The protesting farmers at Tikri and Singhu border not offered prayers to their Guru on Gurpurab but also distributed prasad among the cops.
Their heartfelt gesture has won many hearts across the nation.
