As Kejriwal Govt Cuts VAT, Diesel To Get Cheaper In Delhi By Over ₹8 Per Litre

After the price of diesel in India skyrocketed to Rs 79 per litre over the last few weeks, Delhi might see a massive slash in diesel prices. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, recently assured that the state government is set to reduce VAT or value-added tax on the fuel to 16.75% from 30%.

This means the price of diesel in Delhi will reduce from ₹82 to ₹73.64 i.e by ₹8.36 per litre.

In India, the price of diesel surpassed the price of petrol for the first time since decades. The sudden spike in the prices has caused huge national outrage and opposition from the citizens.
